Daily Care & Maintenance

The key to daily laminate care and maintenance is removing as much dirt, debris, and pet dander from the surface, before the particles become abrasive. Preventative measures include using mats to scrape footwear at all entranceways, using area rugs throughout the home, brushing pets regularly, and keeping pet nails trimmed. Sweep your laminate with a soft bristle broom or dust-mop daily or as frequently as possible. Check with your laminate manufacturer's warranty before investing in a robot vacuum cleaner.

Dealing With
Spills & Stains

When spills do occur on your laminate, you can easily treat them to prevent stains and restore a stellar appearance. Use paper towels and a spoon to gently lift any solid material, then begin wiping the liquid spill with a dry clean cloth or paper towels. Start from the perimeter of the spill and work towards the center. Use a gentle laminate-specific cleaner to spot-treat as needed.

When wet-mopping your laminate floor or using a Swiffer WetJet system, use as little water as needed to clean your floors and ensure a dry surface in a reasonable amount of time afterward.
